Nakuru County Secretary and Head of Public Service Dr. Samuel Mwaura, has assured Nakurians of development agenda.
He says the current administration under the leadership of Governor Susan Kihika is focused on nothing more than ensuring quality service delivery to the people of Nakuru.
Speaking on Sunday, March 3, 2024 when he represented Governor Susan Kihika during a Church fundraiser at ACK St. Andrews Parish in Kiambogo, Elementaita in Gilgil Sub-County, Mwaura said the current regime is ensuring value for tax payer’s money through the projects being implemented.
Dr. Mwaura backed up his sentiments by the recent ranking of Nakuru as second in the spending for development projects.
He reiterated that under the leadership of Governor Susan Kihika, the county has spent Ksh.1,462,888,213 on development initiatives in six months under review according to the Controller of Budget.
In addition, there has been an increase in bursary allocation across the county, totalling to sh342 million in this financial year with additional allocation in the next financial year.
According to the CS, plans to launch feeding program in Early Childhood Development Education (ECDE)centers is also expected soon.
He urged Nakuru residents to continue supporting the government of the day.
The function was also attended by MCAs Peter Njoroge(Murindat Ward), George Nene(Elementaita Ward) and Jane Simita(Director KFS) among others.
