County hands over Karai Fish Market to contractor for completion

Urban development remains key among the agendas of Nakuru Governor Susan Kihika.

This was revealed during the handing over to contractor the Karai Fish Market.

Governor Kihika’s administration remains committed towards improvement of market infrastructure across the county.

The handing over of The Karai Fish Market site in Naivasha East Ward to contractor is a clear indicator of the commencement of Phase 2 construction works.

According to County Secretary Dr Samuel Mwaura, The scope of work involves roof repairs using plexiglass to prevent rainwater seepage, the construction and equipping of a modern kitchen, an ablution block, and the installation of a cold room for fish storage.

Additional works will include the construction of access roads and parking areas, installation of a septic tank for improved waste management, market-wide electrical lighting, and the provision of litter bins.
