County Government swiftly responds to the cries of residents over state of Ngata Bridge-Kabasis centre road

Residents of Ngata have a reason to smile after the County Government of Nakuru heeded to their cry over state of Ngata Bridge-Kabasis Centre Road.

There was tension in the area over the state of the road, however the county government under the leadership of Governor Susan Kihika has vowed to address the issue.

The road has had challenges of flooding, however this will be a thing of past as county has vowed immediate intervention to resolve the same.

County officials Led by the County Executive Committee Member for Infrastructure, Engineer Michael Kamau, on Wednesday inspected the section of the road to assess the extent of the damage caused by floods and the emergence of dangerous sinkholes that have sparked concern among residents.

“I can assure the members of the community that swift action will be taken to address the situation and restore safety and accessibility in the area,” he stated.

It should be noted that tension has been high in Kabasis in recent days, with residents staging protests over delayed response and safety fears.

However, the county leadership has called for calm, urging locals to exercise patience as plans for comprehensive solutions are being finalized.

The CECM was accompanied by Elijah Mwangi from the Efficiency and Monitoring Unit, opinion leader from Rongai Kibet Komen and Administrator Benard Kitur.
