County Government launches fully funded Short Courses at Molo VTC

The County Government of Nakuru has launched short courses at Molo Vocational Training Center.

The short courses are funded by County Government under the leadership of Governor Susan Kihika.

County Executive Committee Member for Education Zipporah Wambui who represented Governor Susan Kihika during the launch, reiterated Governor Kihika’s commitment to education.

She noted that the initiative is designed to equip youth with practical skills that will enhance their productivity and self-reliance.

Upon successful completion, the courses are expected to help beneficiaries improve their livelihoods and unlock income-generating opportunities across various fields.

The CECM used the opportunity to encourage the students to take advantage of the opportunity, noting Governor Susan Kihika’s commitment to youth empowerment across the county.

She emphasized that the county’s investment in vocational training centers reflects the administration’s broader vision of building a skilled, employable, and self-reliant generation.

On his part Molo VTC Principal Mr. Nicholas Koech, expressed deep appreciation to Governor Kihika for prioritizing youth development through access to relevant skills training.

He noted that such programs ensure no young person is left behind, particularly those who may have missed out on formal education.

He further highlighted that the courses are tailored to meet current market demands, making them both timely and impactful.

The event was also graced by Director Vocational Training, Catherine Mugo; Quality Assurance Officer, Sister Josephine Adhiambo Ogutu; Vocational Training Officer, Zachary Kago; and Simon Munene, Personal Assistant to the Area MCA, Governor’s coodinators, among other officials.
