The County Government of Nakuru has welcomed partnerships to strengthen the County’s preparedness in combating the COVID-19 pandemic.
Governor Lee Kinyanjui has stated that only collaborative partnerships would help meet total resource requirements in implementing infection prevention and control strategies.
And today, Mozzart Bet Kenya, one Kenya’s biggest betting companies donated Sh1 million worth of essential medical equipment towards the fight against COVID-19.
The equipment includes personal protective equipment for frontline healthcare workers such as gloves, masks, shields, aprons, spray pumps, water tanks sanitizers and infrared thermometers.
Medical Services CO Dr Solomon Sirma thanked the betting firm for choosing Nakuru County for the CSR activity at a time they are out of business due to cancellation of sporting activities due to COVID-19.
“The equipment will be distributed across all hospitals to ensure that healthcare workers in Nakuru County are protected against COVID-19,” he stated.
Mr Brian Kibichii from Mozzart Bet Kenya said the firm has a primary focus on the health and well-being of their customers in addition to advocating for responsible betting.
“The future success of Mozzart Bet Kenya depends on how best we treat our customers at the time of need,” he said urging corporates to support government efforts.
