
Riftvalley Regional Commissioner George Natembeya has banned food vending and Hawking in Nakuru town.
Natembeya says this is in line with the Government directive in the fight against Corona Virus.
Speaking when he led operation to ensure compliance within Nakuru’s CBD, Natembeya said they will work closely with police to ensure the same is enforced.
He once again reiterated that the security team will work hand in hand with health officials to ensure the directives are enforced.
On transport sector,the RC stating that they expect the operators to ensure they comply with the capacity directive.
Meanwhile,no idlers will be allowed at the Nakuru bus terminus except for drivers,touts and the passengers capacity required.
The RC stating that those who will be found loitering or idling at the bus terminus will be arrested.
“We don’t want to see idlers,if you have nothing to do in town stay at home”said Natembeya.
The RC was accompanied by Regional Police Commander Marcus Ocholla as well as County Police Commander Stephen Matu.
