The African Independent Pentecostal Church of Africa AIPCA in Nakuru has welcomed calls for referendum so long as it’s to benefit Wanjiku.
Addressing media in Nakuru on Wednesday, Bishop Naftaly Thuku of AIPCA Nakuru North Diocese said changing the Constitution to benefit and individual or two will not help the common mwananchi in any way.
“As church we support referendum as long as it is for the interest of the common citizens. Changing the Constitution to benefit and individual or two will not help the common mwananchi in any way” said Bishop Thuku.
Bishop Thuku, who was meeting AIPCA deacons at AIPCA Bishop Mureithi Cathedral in Nakuru town, said the referendum to benefit two or three individuals is uncalled for as it will cost tax payer’s money.
He added that already the country is facing challenges of debts and corruption which should be addressed for the benefit of Wanjiku.
