Schools in Nakuru West are set to benefit from over Sh 10 million towards development.
The funds from NG-CDF kitty are meant to improve infrastructure.
Area MP Samuel Arama who spoke during school heads’ meeting at Koinange Primary school, said the funds willl go a long way in addressing the challenges that some schools may be facing on infrastructure.
He called on schools heads to ensure the money is utilised for the intended purpose.
“With the disbursement,we hope the construction of classrooms will be ready adequate for use soon.My appeal to the school heads to use the money for the purpose” said Arama.
The Nakuru West Legislator has vowed to ensure a condusive atmosphere for learners even as schools resume.
It will be recalled that due to COVID-19,schools were shut in March.
However,on October 12,Grade 4,standard 8 and Form 4 students resumed classes.
His sentiments echoed by area Deputy County Commissioner Michael Lesimam.
The administrator also challenging parents to take matters education of their children serious.
He says the national government has continued to invest in education matters to ensure a better future.
“As parents we have a role to ensure we support key issues in education sector” said kesimam.
