Calls for cautiousness during rainy season takes centre stage as DG Kones, Governor Lenku attend Sunday service in Nakuru

Kenyans have been urged to exercise caution amidst the ongoing rainy season that has continued to cause havoc through floods, destruction of property, loss of lives and displacement of several families.

Leaders, among them Kajiado County Governor Joseph Ole Lenku, emphasized the importance of vigilance during this challenging period.

Speaking at Covenant church International in Nakuru on Sunday May 12, 2024, Governor Lenku underscored the need for heightened awareness and preparedness among Kenyans.

He urged individuals and communities to take proactive measures to safeguard themselves and their belongings from the devastating impact of floods.

Sentiments echoed by Nakuru County Deputy Governor David Kones who  emphasized the crucial role of parents in ensuring the safety of their children during this time.

The DG urged parents to remain vigilant and keep a close watch over their children, particularly as schools  re-open on Monday.

Governor Lenku was accompanied by First Lady Kajiado County Edna Lenku, Nakuru Deputy Governor David Kones, David Wathiai Macharia (MCA Shaabab Ward) Nakuru, Ildamat and Matapato South MCAs Joseph Mutunkei and David Mutunkei, and nominated MCAs  Carolyne Ndeti,  Judy Nkaabata Komite, and Gathere Dorcas among other leaders.
