After the Bahati Ward MCA Peter Nderitu (Birshiba) unsuccessfuly dived under water to seek the body of the boy the residents called upon the Nakuru County fire engine to drain the dam in efforts to recover the body.
The daring MCA, Birshiba, has been hailed by many for his heroic act.
Also present at the scene were MCA Samuel Kamau of Kiamana and Paul Thuo of Kabatini. The area MP was said to be away in Nairobi.
