Individual leaders squandering funds meant to improve markets have been put in notice.
Bahati Parliamentary seat aspirant Mary Justus Mannabay says moving forward Kenyans are watching and it will never be the same again.
She was speaking during her visit to Maili Sita Market in Kiamaina Ward.
According to her, moving forward accountability shall speak louder than mere politics.
“To the current regime, let it be known — December has arrived, and the people are watching. Those squandering funds meant for our markets must prepare themselves, because Christmas imebaki tu moja, and after that, accountability will speak louder than politics,” she said.
During her visit, Mannabay had a chance to listen to the traders who voiced their frustrations and hopes.
She noted that these traders deserve leaders who build , not those who plunder.
“They deserve leaders who build, not those who plunder,” she said.
Mannabay used the moment to wish them well as the final month of the year takes over.
The businesswoman and politician vowed to work towards ensuring justice and development for community.
“May December mark the beginning of a new chapter of truth, service, and transformation,” she said.
