AIPCA Bishop Naftaly Thuku has commended the goverment for the measures put in place to cushion the vulnerable and needy against negative effects of COVID-19.
Bishop Naftaly through a phone interview lauded the government for listening to the cry of the people and lowering the fuel prices.
He also at the same time lauded the goverment move to have facemasks manufactured in the country.
According to the clergy,this will help empower the local manufacturers.
“We are grateful that the government is thinking about the people by lowering the fuel price and even directing manufacturing of facemasks be done locally” he said.
In this respect,the Bishop now wants the public service vehicles to lower the fare charges.
He says this will help Kenyans during this harsh economic times.
On the distribution of emergency food to support the vulnerable in society,Bishop Naftaly has called on the Government to ensure they reach out to everyone in the society.
He says the goverment should put in place mechanisms to avert any conflicts during the exercise.
“Let there be proper guidelines so that everyone can be reached with the support” he said.
