Former Kivumbini MCA Wilbur Onyango declares interest in Nakuru Town East Parliamentary seat

Former Kivumbini Ward MCA Wilbur Onyango Amara has declared interest in Nakuru Town East Parliamentary seat 2027.

Wilbur who served as ODM MCA in Kivumbini Ward 2017-2022 and ousted by current MCA Neto Sakwa(Independent), made the announcement after what he termed as deep reflection.

He attributed this to the lessons he learned from the late former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.

“Hello my people, Over the past few weeks, I have taken time to deeply reflect and do some soul-searching, especially as I think about the many words of wisdom and guidance I received from the late BABA, Raila Odinga. His counsel, drawn from over forty years of experience in public service and politics, continues to resonate strongly with me. As he entrusted us with the responsibility of supporting the Broad-Based Government and urged us to remain focused on service to the people, I have listened carefully to that guidance. I believe leadership is about courage, continuity, and answering the call of the people when the moment arrives,” he said.

Wilbur who has aligned himself with broad-based government argues that as the message of “Two Term” continues to echo across the movement, he has also taken the bold decision.

“I wish to share with you an important decision. After wide consultation and deep reflection, I am preparing myself to vie for the Nakuru Town East Parliamentary Seat,” he said.

According to him, this journey will not just be about politics , it will be about building something bigger, stronger, and better for the people.

That it will be about opportunity for youth, dignity for families, and development that touches every corner of the constituency.

“The road ahead is promising, and together we will walk it with hope, unity, and determination. My people, the journey has begun. See you soon on the ground,” he concluded.

Others who have declared interest in Nakuru Town East Parliamentary seat include Wakili Boniface Ndumia, Bernard Nguruna, Wilson Mwangi, Fadhili Msuri, Maina Wakabura, Martin Lunalo and Benson Mwangi among others.
