Bahati Member of Parliament Irene Njoki has unveiled bursaries worth Ksh. 68 Million through the Constituency Development Fund(NG-CDF) to ensure smooth transition for all Grade 10 learners.

The Lawmaker presided over the launch at St. Lwanga Comprehensive School in Bahati Ward.
Speaking during the event, MP Njoki stated that the funds are meant to ensure beneficiaries are in school.
“We want to ensure our children are in school and that is the reason we are disbursing the funds,” she said.

The Legislator also used the moment to laud National Government for releasing fubds on time.
This, she said has helped address the challenges of delayed projects due to late disbursement as was previously witnessed.
She at the same time called on parents to work closely with NG-CDF office in ensuring all learners are in school.
According to her, good working relationship with NG-CDF and NGAO officers has helped ensure bursary programs succeed.
This even as recent survey indicates that MP Njoki is among few MPs with no audit querries on NG-CDF.
The Lawmaker attributed this to prudent use of public resources, addibg that transparency and accountability remains key in her line of duty as far as NG-CDF is concerned.
“For your information a survey done revealed that I am one of the few MPs with no audit querries on NG-CDF. This is a clear indicator that with collaboration and good working relationship with administrators and other stakeholders we can do great,” she said.
The Lawmaker assured parents that Cheques for universities, Form 3 & 4, and tertiary institutions will follow in the coming days.
“I remain deeply rooted in the principles of transparency, fairness, and a steadfast commitment to ensuring the equitable distribution of public resources across all our wards,” she said.
