Bahati Member of Parliament Irene Njoki has reiterated her commitment towards improving infrasture in all the schools within her Constituency.

Speaking on Friday February 20, 2026 when she officially opened a new completed two-storey building of 9 classrooms at St. Lwanga Comprehensive school in Bahati Ward, MP Njoki was categorical that transformation of schools’ infrastructure is one area that she promised during her campaigns.
While noting that there has been tremendous development in schools within the Constituency since she took over in 2022, the Legislator assured parents and teachers that she will ensure all schools in the constituency are transformed in terms of infrastructure.
“This school St. Lwanga had been left behind and that is why we decided to do this modern classrooms under NG-CDF 2024-2025 Financial Year,” she said.
The Lawmaker revealed that under the school infrastructure improvement program, Bahati NG-CDF through her patronage has been able to construct a total 135 classrooms across the constituency for the three years she has been in office.
She was quick to point out that she looks forward to more schools being transformed this financial year.
According to her, condusive environment for learners is key towards success.
A total of 10 schools in Bahati Constituency have already benefited with newly constructed Laboratories.
Meanwhile, each of the 36 comprehensive schools in Bahati will get an extra classroom courtesy NG-CDF for computer since matters ICT in schools are now key on matters digital literacy.
“It is my desire to see our children in good learning environment and that is why I am doing this. We have had discussion with schools and teachers. At the moment we have already done 10 schools with laboratories. This financial year we shall do another 10 and the other year we do the remaining 6,” she said.
The Lawmaker lauded Government for releasing NG-CDF funds on time.
According to her, this will help address the challenges that have been there among them delays in projects.
The first time serving Legislator maintained that prudent use of NG-CDF funds can real bring about great transformation in schools and Constituency at large.
