Renown Environmental expert Kiogora Muriithi has declared interest in Nakuru Town East Parliamentary seat 2027.

In an interview with famousnakuru.co.ke, Mr. Kiogora commonly known among Nakuru residents as ‘Kiogora Kiongozi’, confindently stated that time is now to ensure change in the kind of leaders elected.
According to him, Nakuru Town East residents should be wise and elect leaders who have the interests of electorates at heart and ready to transform the constituency through sustainable programs that create sustainable jobs towards empowerment of livelihoods.
“It is time that Nakuru Town East Constituents have a conversation in what kind of leaders we want moving forward,” he said.

He has vast experience in leadership having served in County Government of Nakuru in roles like Chief Officer for Water, Environment, and Natural Resources, as well as Director and leading environmental policy development.
Mr. Kiogora also Served as Head of the Environmental Unit in Nakuru City Board.
He was instrumental in developing the Nakuru County Climate Change Act (2021) and the Sustainable Waste Management Act (2022).
His public service record positions him as a potential candidate for leadership.
The good raport he has with the people of Nakuru came out clear in 2023 when news spread like desert fire that he had been deployed to the Department of Social Services.
Going by the comments on WhatsApp groups, many were shocked by the news as Mr Kiogora had been known as the go to person in matters Environment.
He came in as the Environment Director in Kinuthia Mbugua’s government and was promoted to a Chief officer in Lee Kinyanjui’s administration.
He is the person who oversaw the remarkable rehabilitation of Gioto dumpsite, besides being at the forefront in the greening and beautification agenda that included the planting of trees along Section 58 opposite Statehouse and in the CBD as well.
