Residents of Kivumbini, Biashara and Flamingo Wards in Nakuru Town East Sub county of Nakuru County were treated to a glamorous New year party hosted by by Bondeni Police Station.
The event held at the station’s grounds on January 10, 2026 served as a platform for both officers and community members to give thanks to the Almighty God for enabling them see a new year 2026.

It was also a platform to strengthen relationship between officers and members of the community.
Speaking during the event, Officer commanding Bondeni Police Station Musee Mwangangi called for enhanced community policing.

Mwangangi urged members of the community to continue working closely with police officers towards enhancing security within community.
“We have to ensure enhanced good relationship between officers and members of community,” he said.
The OCS reiterated that the officers will continue to ensure professionalism in their duty of service to the people.
He noted that good working relationship with members of the public plays key role in matters security.
Sentiments echoed by Baharini Community Forum Chair Maurice Otieno.
Otieno urged members of the public not to fear police officers, but work closely towards a secure and peaceful society.
Similar sentiments echoed by Flamingo Community Nyumba Kumi Chair Dan Owino.
He noted that good working relationship between officers and community plays key role in enhancing security.
The event was also attended by Kivumbini Ward MCA personal Assistant Charles Okumu and former Councilor Rispa Ouma.
The duo reiterated the need for community policing.
During the event, a cake branded with Bondeni Police Station names was cut with OCS Mwangangi serving some attendants.
