Nakuru County Tourism Association Chairperson Mr. David Mwangi has launched two books explaining his journey in life.
The event was graced by Nakuru County Executive Committee Member (CECM) for Education, Zipporah Wambui who represented Governor Susan Kihika.
The event celebrated the release of two significant titles by Mr. Mwangi: The Hotelier At Heart.
The Hotelier at Heart is a Book that highlights Mr. Mwangi’s inspiring journey through the hospitality industry, demonstrating a powerful story of hard work and resilience.
It details his remarkable journey from a watchman at a local hotel to a respected manager, partner, and consultant within the sector.
The second book ‘7 Friends You Need in Life’ offers readers a valuable perspective on the diverse types of friends essential for personal enrichment, highlighting the various supportive roles they play in one’s life.
Speaking at the launch, CECM Wambui underscored the County Government’s commitment to promoting the Hospitality and Tourism sector.
She highlighted key initiatives, including favourable licensing laws, policies aimed at creating a more business-friendly environment for operators in the sector.
Additionally, efforts are underway to aggressively market Nakuru County as a top-tier tourist destination, leveraging its diverse natural attractions and cultural heritage.
The event was also graced by the first Gentleman Mr. Sam Mburu, Chief Of Staff Dr. Peter Ketyenya, County Chief Officers Mr. John Koech (Tourism), Victor Achoka (Resource Mobilization), Ken Mugo (Lands) among many other local and international business people.
