Generous Kenyan Man celebrates with family and friends at Thanksgiving Ceremony dubbed ‘Home sweet home’ in Kisii County

Residents of one village in Kisii County were on Saturday June 28, 2025 treated to a glamorous housewarming event courtesy of Mr and Mrs John Momanyi Mesa.

It was pomp and colour from decorations, great music from talented groups such as Nakuru Cities Chorale as well as local artists such as Nyatigo Enguba Kambanane, Dennis Wire moja and Nyakababa Comics.

Not to forget about the delicious meals,drinks and decorated Cake that wrapped up the event.

Speaking during the housewarming event, John stated that it has been a journey that has taken them over 3 years.

In the same spirit he called on young people to embrace patience in life and commit all their plans to the Almighty God.

According to John, the construction of the house has taken so long because he did not believe in shortcuts but through prudent savings and trusting on God.

He challenged young people to be patient in life and ensure whatever they you do has future positive impact.

“There is no shortcut, you just have to work hard and ensure that you remain focused on your agenda. For my sake, it has not been easy, I started this building 3 years ago, but here we are celebrating this effort made. With patience and trust in God anything is possible…We are here celebrating because of God,” he stated.

She lauded all who joined in making the event successful.

Kitutu Chache South Lawmaker Anthony Kibagendi also graced the event lauding John for making the stride in life.

He pointed out that such stride is a challenge and a wake-up call to young people to remain focused.

The Lawmaker was categorical that young people have continued to face numerous challenges during the current regime.

He was however quick to note that with great collaboration with other stakeholders then the issues affecting the youth will be addressed.

MP Kibagendi called on Kenya Kwanza regime to invest greatly in the youthful innovation aspect.

According to him, young people have great skills that need to be tapped into.

“Our youth are very innovative. They just need some little support,” stated Kibagendi.

In attendance was also the Former Speaker of Nyamira County Hon Enock Okero who is also a close friend to John.

Hon Okero Congratulated his Friend John for the effort he has put in to own such a beautiful home.
