Bahati Lawmaker Irene Njoki has condemned the cruelty act that led to he death of a 3- year old girl Margaret Kirathe.
The tragic incident happened on Sunday in Mchanganyiko, Kiamaina ward.
It has left area residents and the entire Constituency in grief.
The Lawmaker called for a firm decisive action that will see justice served.
“It is unthinkable that such cruelty could be directed at an innocent child. I condemn this brutal act and call for firm, decisive action to deliver justice. No child should suffer such violence, and no family should bear this pain,” stated Njoki.
She at the same time commended the swift response by security teams, but called for thorough investigations until those responsible face the full force of the law.
According to Lawmaker, Children deserve to grow up safe.
She called on members of the public to stay vigilant and united in protecting innocent children.
A 17-year-old girl has so far been arrested in relation to strangling to death the 3-year-old baby in a church compound after Sunday service in Bahati.
Thia was confirmed by Nakuru Police Boss Lilis Wachira.
