All the 66 persons who were in contact with two patients who tested positive for COVID-19 have tested negative.
This is according to Nakuru County CECM for health Dr.Gichuki Kariuki.
In a statement to newsrooms on Friday,Dr.Kariuki was categorical that all the 66 have tested negative and will be released from quarantine.
He added that test results for one person who was at the Naivasha isolation facility is also negative.
Meanwhile,the CECM revealing that 2 patients in isolation centre at PGH are in stable condition.
He however called on residents in areas frequented by long-distance truck drivers to be more vigilant and observe prevention guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health.
He says, “this is due to the fact that there has been confirmed COVID-19 cases among long distance drivers in another county and a neighboring country”.
This even as he assured that the department of health will continue screening of long distance truck drivers in Mai Mahiu,Kikopey,Salgaa and total areas.
